Around Tilba

Location Location Location

Tilba Region is ideally situated at the southern end of unspoilt Eurobodalla Coast and the northern end of beautifully uncivilised Sapphire Coast on South Coast NSW.

As such, this area is a major tourist destination and stop over point for travellers experiencing the delights of the Sydney to Melbourne Coastal Drive.

The Bryn at Tilba, just a 1/2km from Central Tilba, is the perfect vantage point for guests to access an abundance of experiences all the way down these spectacular coastlines.

So much to see and do!

A good place to start your research is the South Coast Travel Guide which lists all activities, cafes and restaurants in the Eurobodalla region.

History, heritage, ancient geological sites and Indigenous sites

Whether you’re a lover of history, gourmet food, music, art, photography, antiques, beaches, hiking, cycling or road touring…Tilba Region has something for everyone.

Walk up Gulaga Mountain – named by Captain Cook as Mount Dromedary. This majestic old volcano is of spiritual and cultural significance to the local Yuin people and other Indigenous Australians. Your track starts in Tilba Tilba (behind La Galette and Tilba Nursery) and will take you through rainforest to the summit. Wear sturdy shoes and allow the best part of your day for this journey.

Drive ‘The Triangle’: Tilba - Bermagui - Cobargo, to discover charming localities and stunning country side. Turn left south of Tilba Tilba off the Princes Hwy to head to Bermagui first. Or continue travelling south on the Princes Hwy to go to Cobargo first.  Look for the sign to turn left to Bermagui before the bridge at the bottom of the main street in Cobargo.

Go behind the scenes and hear the stories of Tilba with Zoe on one of her Tilba Talks Historical Walks.
